MARK IS FROM CLINTON, NORTH CAROLINA AND GRADUATED FROM CLINTON HIGH SCHOOL. I ATTENDED GUILFORD COLLEGE IN GREENSBORO, NORTH CAROLINA. I GRADUATED WITH A B.S. DEGREE IN SPORT MANAGEMENT WITH A MINOR IN ADMINISTRATION OF JUSTICE AND HISTORY.
HE BEGAN COACHING HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL IN 1990 AT EAST BLADEN HIGH SCHOOL IN ELIZABETH TOWN, NORTH CAROLINA WHERE HE WAS THE OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR UNTIL 2001. WHILE AT EAST BLADEN HEI WAS ALSO THE HEAD BOYS/GIRLS TRACK AND FIELD COACH AND JV GIRLS BASKETBALL COACH.
IN 2001 HE MOVED TO LUMBERTON HIGH SCHOOL IN LUMBERTON, NORTH CAROLINA WHERE HE COACHED RUNNING BACKS ON THE FOOTBALL TEAM AND ALSO COACHED THE JV BOYS BASKETBALL TEAM AND GIRLS TRACK/FIELD TEAM.
MARK MOVED TO LEESBURG HIGH SCHOOL IN LEESBURG, FLORIDA IN 2002 AND REMAINED UNTIL 2014. WHILE AT LEESBURG HE COACHED THE DEFENSIVE LINE IN FOOTBALL AND ALSO HELD THE POSITION OF HEAD GIRL’S BASKETBALL COACH . WHILE THERE THE BASKETBALL TEAM WON 3 REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS AND WENT TO 3 FINAL FOURS IN 2007, 2008, AND 2011. THEY COMPILED A RECORD OF 225 WINS AND 84 LOSSES. HE WAS ALSO THE HEAD GIRL’S TRACK/FIELD COACH AND HEAD GIRL’S SOFTBALL COACH.
IN 2014 HE LEFT LEESBURG AND WENT BACK TO NORTH CAROLINA AND COACHED GIRL’S BASKETBALL AT ST. PAULS HIGH SCHOOL IN ST. PAULS , NORTH CAROLINA.
IN 2015 HE MOVED BACK TO FLORIDA AND COACHED GIRLS BASKETBALL AT WEST ORANGE HIGH SCHOOL IN WINTER GARDEN, FLORIDA.
FINALLY IN 2016 HE MOVED TO TAVARES HIGH SCHOOL IN TAVARES, FLORIDA AND COACHED THE GIRL’S BASKETBALL TEAM.
